How can i get my lens flare to move across the screen in adobe premiere 6.0?

Well you could always go outside, and just shoot a lens flare, but that would be to easy wouldn't it.

Don't point your camcorder at the sun!
It can damage the camera.

For tracking the lens-flare effect in Permiere, I would simply keyframe it.

Create a piece of black video, add the lens flare, click on luminosity under transparency, so that the black part is see-through, then change the motion settings for that clip. And make sure, under "motion", the fill colour is black.
I haven't done it before but I think that should work.

Oh my god.. Not anymore lensflare.. please. It's the most overused effect before the morph.

Or you can just forget about it and stick to the non-moving lens flare. It sure sounds complicated...

It's easy to animate it. You just select the keyframe icon in the effect controls and then move through the timeline setting keyframes for it to be. But lens flare is cr**, I must warn you..

I used a lense flare once by accident in a real shoot. It was effective. Sun was in the right place and the camera was on the right angle at the right time
