Fake Eighties Film Camera

Post by wildabeast009 »

Well, I'm begining to undertake a large project, and I need to get a few suggestions for props. I need a film movie camera look-alike. It just needs to look real, it doesn't need anything fancy about it. I've been trying to figure something out, but I can't seem to get it close enough. That's all for right now, but more things will probably come up. Thanks.

Try eBay. You may find some cheap ones on there that don't work.

Yeah, 1980's look. The movie is about a director in the eighties. So, I need a 80's looking camera, without paying much at all.

just get a large VHS Analogue camera. But is it film or video? If its film your out of luck because the same camera's in the 80's are being used today. Go with the VHS cam. You can make a joke about it having to be always plugged in.

Old 80s home video cameras can be found for pennies on eBay because they are junk and nobody wants them. Professional film cameras, on the other hand, DEDFX is right. They still use them today for the most part.
