ok we're doin' a Matrix-esque movie.
you know in the movie how neo and smith are facing each other in the rain, they run in slo-mo, and punch each other. the force of their punches makes them fly backwards, and there's a distortion effect. I have Adobe After Effects 6.5. Does anyone know which plug-in would best match this effect?
thanks

RE: neo vs. smith ripple effect?
if you're talking about distortion in the air, use displacement mapping with a wavy texture.
if you talk about neo's face getting distorted from the strenght of the punch, well this effect was done in cgi, so animate a distorted face using your favorite 3d program, and composite it over your actors face in AE.

Ah, it's been so long since we've had people trying to copy the Matrix... brings back fond memories...
