Anyone know anything about the Sony FX Z1 and PD-170?
There's a job I might get doing freelance video, and I'd be using one or both of those cameras. Does anyone know anything about those, or have any ideas for where to find information on them?

Yep lol, well firestorm without the sarcasm basically, the 170 is a very effective 4:3 aspect ratio standard definition professional camcorder, often used for documentary, or vox pops news etc etc. With XLR's you can hook up a variety of professional microphones if necessary.
The Sony FX and Z1 are two different cameras that share most things in common, they are (if i recall) 16:9 aspect ratio, HDV camcorders, with the F not using XLR sound inputs and the more expensive Z1 does.
Double check all that obviously and do your homework on these cameras
