Motion Menu DVD AE and Encore

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how I can make a animated DVD menu using After Effects and Encore? I want to animate the buttons coming in to the screen until they rest in their end positions but I want to have a looping visual going round and round in the background. When this looping visual loops I don't want the buttons to fly in again, I want them to stay on the screen while the background loops.

Does anyone know what I mean, and if so, how would I achieve this?

Well I havn't ever used AE with Encore before, but I know you can just add a video background to any menu, and set it to loop forever. Have you ever used encore before?

Yeah I have. I think I might know how I can do what I want actually, I'll jsut set the background to loop forever, and then I'll create my animation in AE which will be transperant so the background will still be looping in the background
