The Skypod is a ~6 foot boom that attaches to a standard camera tripod and holds a camera about nine feet in the air, pointing straight down. The boom extends several feet horizontally, enabling the photographer or videographer to capture pictures of a floor or table surface. I designed the Skypod so that I could take overhead video of the 2001 Icehouse tournament.

Full details of the Skypod, which was designed and built by Elliott C. Evans, can be found here http://www.ee0r.com/proj/skypod.html

The following is a brief guide to how I made the car camera mount which I used to film the external car footage for Hollow Point using my Panasonic GS5 camcorder. It should be noted that it is far from perfect and there are many other ways I could have built it. This is why the following information should be treated as a guide rather than a tutorial. Hopefully the information here will enable you build your own camera mount even if you change or improve the design I used.

This tutorial aims to show you how to use AutoGK to create compact XVID versions of your low-budget movies for a PDA with a 320x240 screen. It can easily be modified for other screen resolutions. In fact if you have any device that can play XVID then you can use this tutorial to create video files for it.

What better way to get your films seen than by providing a version for all those people with portable players who need something to watch on the train or during their lunch break!

This guide shows how I made a fake sponge brick for one of our scenes in Hollow Point. We needed a fake brick which we could throw at the windscreen of a car without smashing it.
