I used Microsoft Word for my current site, but I also write out pages of script in notepad. Word can get annoying, and I plan to redo one of these days... but I am just too busy right now.

Good ol' Notepad and IE (for checking work). I'm starting to use HTML-Kit that colour codes the code, and helps form more complex tags. I hate using WYSIWYG editors though, cos you open up the HTML to change something and you have to crawl through 20 lines of crud! MSWord is a good example of that

The one disadvantage to HTML is that unless you are VERY skilled with it, you are limited as to the visual appeal of your layout. A lot of people think that a text based site is great. Personally, if I don't see something visually appealing, such as a slick header ot some well placed pictures, I'll press back unless the site is extremely interesting.

I write out script in Notepad. It is just that I got lazy and didn't want to spend the time writing it out. Word was a quick and easy alternative! I will redo my site when I get the time to do so.Twabi2 wrote:WORD FOR MAKING A SITE???
AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaargghh
2 options:
1)Learn HTML (easy, i did it whitout computer)
2)get a wysiwyg-editor, like frontpage(worst), dreamweaver(bad), ... (i don't know any good editors, they all add useless code)
