Audio Formats
What kind of audio formats do you all use? WAV is my personal favourite, but after transfering all my files over to my new computer I erased them off my old one. They made up nearly half of the space used on my hard drive. I hate compressing sound files that will be used in my videos, but that a whole lot of room being taken up.

RE: Audio Formats
I usually prefer .Wav for my video projects as it is uncompressed and offers the best sound. However, I recently transfered my entire CD library over to my computer and I used the Windows Media Audio Lossless codec, which is basically a regular wma file but 10-15 times the size because it is uncompressed. Sounds great. So needless to say 400 something songs turned out to be 11.5 GB's

I use .aif's, they're really high quality but small in file size.

I use WAV, but I tend to save large sound collections as OGG on the harddisk. MAGIX can work with it directly and quickly. I also think the qualtiy loss at 44.1 KHz isn't a desaster, since I have to make a lot of promesis anyway every other day (eg. DV instead of scanned 35mm).
I also use some batch tools that will convert lots of WAVs to OGG while copying from a DVD to the harddisk.
