permistion forms?

does anyone know anything about if you film some one on the street have you got to get them to sign a permition form saying you can use there face in a dvd?

In the US, yes. In the UK, no (or so I've been told).

You only have to get permission if they're recognizable. I think.

No were fine here in the Uk, we could even name a movie after a street haha.

I watched a travel program "hotel" there in Japan on a train so what happens there if theres a hundred of them?

You can film anybody you want in public!!! The ONLY reason productions get permissions from people are in case they get sued over it.

I would just type up a simple form stating the person is aware he/she is being recorded and the material may or may not be used commercial and/or publically. Have them print their name and provide their signature. You should be safe for the worst then. :)
