CTU/GOVERMNET AGENCY TERMINAL

Post by JackBauerII »

I'm making a movie about Internal Affairs and I need a login terminal for the computers. Aside from generating the page in Photoshop or another program, is there a way I could get one? Also, I need an identification window. (In the movie, the main character brings up an Agent's file. The page includes a picture and info about the agent and his past cases)

If anyone watches 24, I'm looking for the window that opens on the front desk computer when CTU workers enter their keycards. Thanks!
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.

yes 24 (my fav show) i think i know what your on about. but you will have to do the profile in photoshop. just get a pic of ur actor and type in all the info. then you can screen cap your desktop and edit the two together. by animating it in photoshop (like it pops up all of a sudden) then you could put it all in movie maker ala the muzzle flash way. sorry if this sounds confusing......

I think I get what you're saying. The movie will be edited in Final Cut by my friend, not by me in Movie Maker.

put a bit of bluescreen on your tv,

then make a separate video of your description,

animate the login in flash or adobe premiere titler ( final cut aquivalant)

place the two layers together and add motion, to get your extra video to appear on q

if you need a program that can do simple stuff and all and you have access to visual basic, you might be able to use that. that and photoshop photoshop photoshop.

make your own... if you steal it from 24 im dobbing.

because of the difference in framerate and refresh rate for computer screens and TV's etc as is customary in movies you will need to create a green screen and then track it in monet or after effects and do a simple screen replacement.

If you goto your screensavers and choose marquee and change your background setting to a bright green and the text to nothing you will get a green screen already so no need to tape paper or anything.

Just film some cut aways to the actor looking and typing cutaways of the screen blah blah all different shots to edit together and just put the animated computer screen after. if you need one made you can easily do it in Flash or if you need one made then i can make one real fast. I like making the computer programs working and loading and doing stuff its fun.

Dob: to secretly tell someone in authority that someone else has done something wrong.

Um, maybe a blue background, transparent if possible, and black, government-looking text boxes, as well as a box for a photo. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that in reality a police officer in Internal Affairs would just use the regular Windows security stuff. The only reason you don't see that in TV/movies is because Bill Gates would make them pay out the a** to use it.

well i made a little demo of a typical login scenario in a film... pretty easy took me bout 20 minutes to create the graphics and then just animate it a little.
